There are a variety of opportunities to volunteer for the museum, library or art center. Assistance is needed in greeting library visitors, providing research assistance to library visitors, selling tickets or gift items, preparing mailings, installing exhibits, documentation of the collections, event planning, marketing events, data entry, class scheduling and more. In addition to general volunteers, there are two support groups that provide further volunteer and financial assistance for each facility are the P.H. Sullivan Museum Guild and pARTnerz. The P.H. Sullivan Museum Guild provides daily volunteer help for the museum and library as well as sponsoring several events and fundraisers throughout the year. Popular fundraisers such as "Antiques at the Sullivan" and the "Gardens of Zionsville" garden tour provide critical funding for other guild sponsored events such as "Gingerbread Houses on Parade" as well as educational programming and improvements to the museum and library. If you are interested in learning more about the Guild's opportunities, please contact the museum at 317.873.4900. pARTnerz is the volunteer organization that supports the Munce Art Center by assisting with exhibit receptions and other art happenings throughout the year. Members receive notices of art openings and exhibits as well as participate in art related events such as private artist receptions and bus trips to other galleries and museums. Its annual art auction fundraiser in the spring provides critical funding for the art center to upgrade its facility and expand its programming.
